COVID 19 Update from South West Swimming School.
Following the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson’s announcement recently.
We had sincerely hoped, maybe even expected, our industry would be included with the others in the leisure and hospitality sector given the green light to reopen on the 4th of July.
It goes without saying that we are hugely disappointed, as I am sure you are also, that this is not going to be the case.
From our ongoing dialogues with UKActive, Swim England (see #OpenOurPools campaign launched today in response to the Prime Minister’s announcement), we know they are doing everything they possibly can to fight our case with the Government.
We have been planning for a potential reopening, with new guidelines in place, whilst we haven’t been given the news we wanted we are heading closer and closer towards the light at the end of the tunnel and when we are finally given the go-ahead we, will be ready.
